Latest news for Apple iPhone 5: Being available for pre-order from Germany’s Deutsche Telekom
Posted on September 6th, 2011 No commentsThe latest news from Bloomberg introduced that Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE) will allow customers to reserve the next generation of Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iPhone as of today in anticipation of supply bottlenecks for the device, spokesman Alexander von Schmettow said by phone. The operator will hand out coupons to people who expressly request the successor model to the iPhone 4, without providing the name or release details of the device, he said.
The Deutsche Telekom AG is the parent company of T-Mobile USA. By now, there is no confirmed release date, price, specifications or any other information from Apple on the successor to the iPhone 4. Even the name of the next iPhone is still not confirmed, as some call it iPhone 5, but others rumor it will be named iPhone 4S. And what we could be sure now is that most people anticipate the device would come out in late September or early October into market. And from the popular rumors about the next Apple iPhone, as for the specifications, the iPhone 5 would adopt the latest A5 processor, higher screen resolution and large screen display, which brings even greater digital entertainment, like watching HD Blu-ray movies on iPhone 5 or DVD movies on iPhone 5.
The pre-order move is being made instead “in anticipation of supply bottlenecks” whenever Apple does announce and then ship a next-generation iPhone, Alexander von Schmettow, a Deutsche Telekom spokesman, told Bloomberg.

Steve Jobs’ resigning as Apple CEO brought market share impact to Apple
Posted on August 25th, 2011 No commentsOn Wednesday, Steve Jobs resigned as chief executive of Apple and passed the reins to his right-hand man, Tim Cook, chief operating officer. The resigning of Jobs itself may not be so bad thing to all Apple investigators and Apple fans. But the signal of the resigning may make them worry, for it indicates the poor health condition of Steve Jobs. It seems that the 56-year-old co-founder of the company is losing his battle with cancer. That is what the whole world would worry about, especially those Apple fans and investigators.
The announcement of Steve Jobs’ resigning was made in a statement from Apple with a letter from Jobs, in which Jobs said: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.“
Apple revealed that Jobs gave the board his resignation on Wednesday and suggested Cook be named the company’s new leader. Jobs was elected board chairman and Cook is becoming a member of its board.
Jobs’ hits seemed to grow bigger as the years went on. During the years Jobs as the CEO, Apple has brought world many excellent devices, like iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc. People’s digital entertainment life has been greatly fulfilled for they could freely watch video on iPhone, watch DVD on iPod, or watch Blu-ray on iPad anytime anywhere without limitation. And we should also thank Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, because it is he who boosted the development of the current glorious electronic product market.
Steve Jobs has acted an incredible role in the development to the company. A 5% decline of Apple market share in after-hours trading on Wednesday wipes more than $17bn (£10.3bn) off Apple’s stock market value, sending it down from $348bn to $330.5bn, just due to the resigning of Steve Jobs.
“I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.” Jobs said in his resigning.

Enhanced voice control
Rumors have been circulating for a while that voice controls are coming to the iPhone. But when? Certainly no one would complain if you were ablet to compose and send e-mails or text messages with the sound of your voice. Chances of implementation: 70 percentMicro-HDMI out
Right now you need Apple’s $39 Digital AV to send HD video or audio to a TV or monitor but a a built-in Micro-HDMI port, similar to the ones available in Android smartphones, would only cost a $5 cable. Chances of implementation: 2 percent. Photo credit: AppleRemovable battery

Another fat chance. Chances of implementation: 1 percent. Photo credit: KingstonBiometric security
Taking security to the next level where you can unlock your phone with a finger swipe instead of a password. Chances of implementation: 25 percent. Photo credit: AppleNFC-enabled (near field communication technology)
With better security, there’s a better chance that you could use your iPhone to make payments like a credit card. You could also use it as a car key. Chances of implementation: 35 percent. Photo credit: VisaMore memory
How about a 64-GB version? Chances of implementation: 50 percent. Photo credit: iLounge.comImproved home screen and notifications system
iOS 5 promises a more customizable home screen, a “real” dashboard, and a better notifications system. iPhones have been falling short of Android devices in this area. Chances of implementation: 100 percent. Photo credit: AppleBetter cloud-computing support
This is coming on iCloud this fall. No videos yet but you can mirror your music library, regardless of the origin, for $25 per year. Chances of implementation: 100 percent. Photo credit: AppleVideo chat (FaceTime) over cellular network
FaceTime works on Wi-Fi on iPhone 4 and it looks like you will be able to use it on a cellular network with iOS 5 but the carriers might be in control. Chances of implementation: 75 percent. Photo credit: AppleFlash support
Well… Chances of implementation: 1 percentLarger screen
Users want a larger screen but they don’t want to pay the price – a bigger product with a shorter battery life. Chances of implementation: 50 percent. Photo credit: 9to5MacBetter camera
Rumors say Sony is developing an 8 mega-pixel camera for the iPhone. Plus, iOS 5 will let you activate the camera from the lock screen and use the volume button on the side of the phone as a shutter. Chances of implementation: 95 percent. Photo credit: James Martin/CNETDual-core processor
The 1GHz A5 dual-core processor that’s in the iPad 2 will most likely power the iPhone 5. Other phone makers such as LG and Motorola are already using dual-core chips. Chances of implementation: 100 percent. Photo credit: AppleUniversal carrier support (CDMA and GSM)
Apparently, Apple already uses the Qualcomm MDM6600 chip that’s capable of running on both CDMA and GSM networks. But GSM network support is not enabled in the Verizon iPhone 4. Rumors say a Sprint iPhone with both networks is being tested. Chances of implementation: 70 percent. Photo credit: iFixit.comBetter battery life
This usually comes with a new model. iPhone 4 had a 40 percent battery life than iPhone 3GS. Chances of implementation: 80 percentFewer failed and dropped calls
AT&T appears to be the biggest culprit although many blame the iPhone itself. Sprint could draw off enough customers to keep the network from getting clogged. Chances of implementation: 45 percentAn actual redesign
Rumors are off the charts – some suggest that Apple could use its iPad 2 design. Chances of implementation: 50 percent. Photo credit: culttofmac.com4G network compatibility
It will come eventually but whether now is the time is up in the air. Many think Apple hasn’t figured out how to preserve battery life while using a 4G data network. Chances of implementation: 50 percentRelated useful readings:
