FIFA World Cup 2010′s No.1 Goal Margin: Portugal vs. Korea DPR 7-0
Posted on June 22nd, 2010 13,324 views | 8 commentsOn June 21, in the 30th match of FIFA World Cup 2010, a magnificent notch of goal is born: Portugal whacked Korea DPR seven-nil. In the first half, Raul Meireles sent the ball into the opponent’s net to break the first goal. It was not much a threat to Korea DPR though, since it had one dignified goal in the match against Brazil to keep its high spirit. However, the situation plunged in the last half. In two separate 8 minutes, Korea DPR’s defense was penetrated three times each and through. And the game finally settled at 7-0.
Some rumor has it that the footballers of Korea DPR will be sent to labor in coal mines after they lose the game. It is really irrational in today’s civilized world. The Korea’s footballers have done their best in the game. Thus they deserve our respect and cheers. Let’s hope they will carry on in the next match with their best effort.
Among these seven goals, I have to say the one produced by Cristinano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid star, is the most intriguing. Here is a short replay showing how the ball bounced from Ronaldo’s back before dropping to his foot for an easy and perfect finish.
