Will October 4th become the big day for Apple and Apple fans with the arrival of iPhone 5
Posted on September 22nd, 2011 No commentsApple iPhone 5 has been a long concern among the world. People have highly anticipated worldwide for what excellent performance AppleiPhone 5 would bring out. The most reliable date about the release of iPhone 5 is October 4th, while the new CEO Tim Cook will take the stage to host the unveiling. We also believe that the iPhone 5 would be the first big event the new CEO Tim Cook is going to bring to Apple fans. Zack Whittaker from ZDNet had written a post on the information about October 4th event upon the Apple iPhone 5. Read the following reports for the detailed information.
Reports are circulating around the media wires this morning that Apple’s new chief executive, Tim Cook, will take to the stage and announce ’something’.
John Paczkowski with the Wall Street Journal’s AllThingsD network, says that Apple’s next event will be held on October 4, where it is most likely that the next-generation iPhone 5 smartphone will be unveiled.
Hedging on the side of caution, Paczkowski has long claimed through sources of his own that the launch will be in October. Sources say that the iPhone will be made available for purchase within a few weeks after the announcement.
Update: As Jason Hiner, editor-in-chief of TechRepublic, ZDNet’s sister site, points out, the Moscone Center where previous launches have been made is “booked out” for Oracle on October 4th. Apple previously used the Moscone for WWDC 2011 earlier this year. Whether this means the October 4th date is a busted flush, or it means Apple already has another venue in mind, it is yet to be known.
There has been wide speculation over the device, which is believed to have changed in screen size and dimensions. Other leaks point to a radical new design, whereas leaked device cases show that the smartphone will remain widely the same.
The truth is: Apple has done it again. We have no real idea what the next-generation iPhone will look like.
But while consumers will be looking for the new iPhone, as the highly anticipated Christmas and holiday season seller of the year, analysts and journalists will be looking at Tim Cook, who replaced Steve Jobs over the summer after he resigned from the company.
Cook will be in charge of the event, and no doubt will take to the stage as Apple’s new chief executive to announce the device. He has to be — he’s the boss. But Cook has never done this before, and will no doubt be aided by other executives to make their own announcement.
But as this may be Cook’s first presentation to the world, it has not been his first major challenge as chief executive.
Late last month, an Apple employee reportedly lost an iPhone 5 prototype in a bar in San Francisco. Bad luck struck twice, only a year after the Gawker media storm after the iPhone 4 was sold to the media company. A huge controversy began when Apple security staff alleged to have impersonated police officers when searching the suspect’s home, when the device ended up in someone else’s hands.
Though Steve Jobs continues to serve as chair of the Apple board, Tim Cook has already had a tough couple of months. Nevertheless, for consumers, the iPhone 5 will be the prime focus for the day.

Steve Jobs’ resigning as Apple CEO brought market share impact to Apple
Posted on August 25th, 2011 No commentsOn Wednesday, Steve Jobs resigned as chief executive of Apple and passed the reins to his right-hand man, Tim Cook, chief operating officer. The resigning of Jobs itself may not be so bad thing to all Apple investigators and Apple fans. But the signal of the resigning may make them worry, for it indicates the poor health condition of Steve Jobs. It seems that the 56-year-old co-founder of the company is losing his battle with cancer. That is what the whole world would worry about, especially those Apple fans and investigators.
The announcement of Steve Jobs’ resigning was made in a statement from Apple with a letter from Jobs, in which Jobs said: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.“
Apple revealed that Jobs gave the board his resignation on Wednesday and suggested Cook be named the company’s new leader. Jobs was elected board chairman and Cook is becoming a member of its board.
Jobs’ hits seemed to grow bigger as the years went on. During the years Jobs as the CEO, Apple has brought world many excellent devices, like iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc. People’s digital entertainment life has been greatly fulfilled for they could freely watch video on iPhone, watch DVD on iPod, or watch Blu-ray on iPad anytime anywhere without limitation. And we should also thank Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, because it is he who boosted the development of the current glorious electronic product market.
Steve Jobs has acted an incredible role in the development to the company. A 5% decline of Apple market share in after-hours trading on Wednesday wipes more than $17bn (£10.3bn) off Apple’s stock market value, sending it down from $348bn to $330.5bn, just due to the resigning of Steve Jobs.
“I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role. I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.” Jobs said in his resigning.

Enhanced voice control
Rumors have been circulating for a while that voice controls are coming to the iPhone. But when? Certainly no one would complain if you were ablet to compose and send e-mails or text messages with the sound of your voice. Chances of implementation: 70 percentMicro-HDMI out
Right now you need Apple’s $39 Digital AV to send HD video or audio to a TV or monitor but a a built-in Micro-HDMI port, similar to the ones available in Android smartphones, would only cost a $5 cable. Chances of implementation: 2 percent. Photo credit: AppleRemovable battery

Another fat chance. Chances of implementation: 1 percent. Photo credit: KingstonBiometric security
Taking security to the next level where you can unlock your phone with a finger swipe instead of a password. Chances of implementation: 25 percent. Photo credit: AppleNFC-enabled (near field communication technology)
With better security, there’s a better chance that you could use your iPhone to make payments like a credit card. You could also use it as a car key. Chances of implementation: 35 percent. Photo credit: VisaMore memory
How about a 64-GB version? Chances of implementation: 50 percent. Photo credit: iLounge.comImproved home screen and notifications system

Apparently, Apple already uses the Qualcomm MDM6600 chip that’s capable of running on both CDMA and GSM networks. But GSM network support is not enabled in the Verizon iPhone 4. Rumors say a Sprint iPhone with both networks is being tested. Chances of implementation: 70 percent. Photo credit: iFixit.comBetter battery life
This usually comes with a new model. iPhone 4 had a 40 percent battery life than iPhone 3GS. Chances of implementation: 80 percentFewer failed and dropped calls
AT&T appears to be the biggest culprit although many blame the iPhone itself. Sprint could draw off enough customers to keep the network from getting clogged. Chances of implementation: 45 percentAn actual redesign

Quite creative, funny and user-friendly Error Display Pages of Apple iCloud
Posted on August 5th, 2011 No commentsJust several days before, Apple has quietly unveiled the beta version of the new storage and syncing service on iCloud.com along with the storage extension prices for iCloud users to expand storage in addition to the free 5GB provided previously. This site is originally open to users who own Apple developer accounts. To these users, it would be depressed to see the Error Display pages of iCloud. But they are still willing to share with these pictures for the creative, funny and user-friendly Error Display pages design. Here, I have collected some very creative and funny pictures about these Error Display pages from iCloud.
When users with Apple developer accounts are going to use iCloud, JavaScript is required to be enabled in users’ browser. The iCloud page screen informs bellow, just like a bookish in glasses drinking a cup of coffee.
The following page screen display with a frowning iCloud tells you that your current browser is not supported by iCloud. To use iCloud service, you need to use Apple Safari, Firefox or IE browser. That means Google Chrome browser is not in the list of iCloud.
The bellow cute iCloud eating cookies tells you that if you want to use the iCloud service, then you need to enable cookies in your browser and try again.
And if the following iCloud page appears, it means that there is a missing page or page fault. The little cute iCloud tells you to double check and try again for one more search.
These funny iCloud Error Display pages are very cute, yet very useful and user-friendly for users to get to know what the problem is and how to solve it. The official launch of Apple iCloud has been reported to be set in September, mostly likely to come out along with new iPod products and the next generation of iPhone. Currently you can take a try of the iCloud beta version to experience the facilities of the official iCloud in advance.
