• Dimension of Samsung Galaxy S8 is Allegedly Wider Than That of S7

Posted on January 17th, 2017 admin No comments

According to a report published, the alleged dimensions of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is wider that of their predecessor Samsung Galaxy S7. The dimension for Galaxy S8 will reportedly be 140.14 x 72.20 x 7.30mm. Although shorter and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S7, this year’s flagship will apparently be wider than the 2016 flagship as the 5.7-inch curved screen that is used on the Galaxy S8 is much wider than the smaller 5.1-inch flat screen used on the Galaxy S7.

With a rumored 6.2-inch curved display, the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus are rumored to be 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm. These measurements show that the premium model will be taller and wider compared to the Galaxy S7 edge, again due to the larger display.

While the images show the lack of a home button as rumored (the fingerprint scanner will be embedded under the display according to the latest rumors), there is a major caveat. The drawings show a microUSB 2.0 port which contradicts renders from case makers that show the Galaxy S8 sporting a USB Type-C port. With that in mind, you might want to take these dimensions with the proverbial grain of salt.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus could both be unveiled on February 26th and released during the week of April 17th.

  • Apple’s Planning to Increase App Price in Selected Markets

Posted on January 17th, 2017 admin No comments

According to BBC this week, Apple is planning to increase the prices of apps and in-app purchases in specific markets, including India, the UK and Turkey.

“Price tiers on the App Store are set internationally on the basis of several factors, including currency eschange rates, business practices, taxes, and the cost of doing business,” Apple explained. “These factors vary from region to region and over time.”

The raise of price was the response to a weakening pound sterling against the US dollar following Brexit. In response to that move, some tech companies had chosen to raise the price of their products. One Plus 3, for instance, had its price increased shortly after launch.

    Similar pricing policy with U.S.

Assume that users are paying $0.99 for an app in the U.S., usually they would be paying $ 79p in the UK, but now with the new pricing method, they would probably be paying 99p. BBC also said that Apple has allowed publishers to adjust the pricing to a lower level to help compensate the changes.

Developers who spoke to the BBC suggested that they are probably not going to change the pricing of apps as it would mean more money out of their pocket. This is just a balancing of the system.

  • Samsung Suddenly Reveal the New Video about Galaxy 8

Posted on January 16th, 2017 admin No comments

As we all know, the Galaxy S8 will launch soon this year, but until this week’s leaked images explosion Samsung had done a good job keeping its new flagship smartphone secret. Now, however, it appears the company wants to leak the phone itself. Samsung revealed a new video which introduced the Galaxy 8.

In a pair of new promotional videos for display division, Samsung has shown off new AMOLED panels which are widely expected to be used in the Galaxy S8. But more than this, it ends both commercials by showing the panels morph into an unnamed smartphone with very slim top and bottom bezels.

Yes, there remains a chance that this is complete coincidence and Samsung made a random handset that just so happens to look like a trio of leaks which all also just so happen to be identical yet wrong. But the odds against this seem small.

We won’t have to wait long to find out the official details and if Samsung avoids one potentially suicidal decision, then it won’t only be LG that needs to worry as even Apple’s radical 2017 iPhone redesign will be under pressure…

  • Apple Celebrates 10th Anniversary That Introduced the Original iPhone

Posted on January 10th, 2017 admin No comments

Ten years ago today, Steve Jobs introduced the very first iPhone. He described it as three devices in one: “A widescreen iPod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone, and a breakthrough internet communications device.”

It introduced the classic grid-of-icons layout, the single home button, and dropped a physical keyboard in favor of a multi-touch display. It was ready for the internet and consuming media, but it still lacked a number of key features — including 3G connectivity and the App Store.

But since its first unveiling, the iPhone has become much more than that. It’s a symbol of the tech industry, of the modern era as a whole, and has made Apple the largest company in the world in terms of market capitalization, with some even speculating it’s the most profitable product ever. A decade on, and it’s still making headlines. Let’s take a look at how the iPhone has changed over the years.

his year, Apple is expected to create a 10th anniversary iPhone— which has come to be known colloquially as the “iPhone 8″— with a complete redesign that could change the game once again. It’s believed that the device will have an edge-to-edge OLED display that could hide components, like Touch ID, the home button, earpiece and FaceTime camera —within or behind the display, presenting users with a true edge-to-edge screen.

Other rumored features of the so-called “iPhone 8” include a glass back, curved screen, wireless charging, and a new 10-nanometer “A11” processor.

New iPhones will have to wait, however, as Apple typically refreshes its flagship handset around September. Until then, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus remain the flag-bearers for the world’s most popular smartphone model.
