How to change region code of Blu-ray player software while playing back Blu-ray discs

It’s quite common that many movie fans might meet such problems during Blu-ray disc playback: the Blu-ray player software couldn’t recognize Blu-ray discs due to the region code restriction. For example, if you bought a Blu-ray disc in Region A (United States) but wanted to play this Blu-ray disc in your Blu-ray player software which is set in Region C (China), you would find yourself get stuck due to the region restriction.

Intended to permit content providers (motion picture studios, etc.) to do effective price differentiation between regions, Blu-ray Disc players sold in a specific geographical region are designed to play only discs authorized by the content provider for that region. This means that only the region code of your Blu-ray player software is the same as that of Blu-ray discs, can you play Blu-ray discs smoothly.

Let’s firstly take a look at the region code distribution in the world. The whole world is divided into 3 different regions: Region A, Region B and Region C. Check the below picture to see the region code distribution map:

To play back Blu-ray disc smoothly on Blu-ray player software, you need to set the region code of Blu-ray player software the same as that of Blu-ray disc. Launch Leawo Blu-ray Player and enter the program settings panel

After you download and install Leawo Blu-ray Player, kick it off. On the main interface, you could see a gear button on the bottom right corner, by clicking which you could enter the program settings panel.

Change Blu-ray region

Entering the program settings panel, go to "DVD & Blu-ray – Forced BD player region" to change the Blu-ray player region code to suite your Blu-ray discs.

Load Blu-ray discs for playback

Then, you could go back to the main interface and select Blu-ray discs for playback.
