Samsung started soak testing Android 7.0 Nougat for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge earlier this week. And now the official rollout has come to more users. And the company is also planning on rolling out Android 7.0 update to more devices within the first half of the year.

There are a lot of changes on the UI front, noticeably the Quick Panel is much cleaner now and looks a bit like what we saw on the Note 7. “Tiles have been removed from the icons in the panel’s first depth,” Samsung noted. “Icons in the second depth are organized into groups of nine, making them easier to locate. There’s also a new pop-up app mode that allows up to five pop-ups at once, in addition to split screen mode that Samsunt smartphones have had for years.

Samsung even gave the devices Performance Mode. “The newly added Performance Mode lets users optimize their smartphones to better meet their specific need by activating one of the four available modes,” Samsung said. “Optimized mode, for example, extends battery life and enhances speed, and is suitable for daily usage, while game mode provides users functions such as Game Launcher and Game Tools. Entertainment mode enhances sound and image quality and High Performance mode enables the highest quality display settings possible.”

Users should be able to receive the update now, but if the Samsung device you have isn’t unlocked, the update has to go through carriers which may cause delay of the update. There would be more updates coming for devices including Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A8.
