Apple Press News: Apple to Unveil Next Generation Software at Keynote Address on Monday, June 6 of WWDC
Posted on June 1st, 2011 No commentsYesterday, Apple has officially released an Apple Press for the upcoming Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It is reported in this press that Steve Jobs will kick off a keynote address on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. which would include the next generation software of Apple: Mac OS X Lion, Ios 5 and iCloud.
“CUPERTINO, California—May 31, 2011—Apple® CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software – Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS® X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®; and iCloud®, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.
WWDC will feature more than 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers. Mac® developers will see and learn how to develop world-class Mac OS X Lion applications using its latest technologies and capabilities. Mobile developers will be able to explore the latest innovations and capabilities of iOS and learn how to greatly enhance the functionality, performance and design of their apps. From this keynote address, we could get the info that there is no iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S mentioned here. The previous rumor about the next generation of iPhone to come out on WWDC 2011 could not be true. And we may have the reason to think that this big conference of Apple would mostly focus on software upgrading, rather than hardware releasing.

Apple iOS 5 adds brand new Notification system and widgets
Posted on May 30th, 2011 No commentsThe upcoming Apple iOS 5 on the Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) has been confirmed to include Nuance Voice Recognition technology, though this tech has not been supported by the existing iOS voice control system. Some other exciting news about the Apple iOS 5 includes the brand new Notification system and widgets introductions.
The notifications scheme on the iPhone and other iOS devices has been long complained from users for its messy, distracting and obtrusive design. Earlier in this February, there were reports on the improvement of Apple iOS Notification system. The detailed information about the upcoming iOS 5 Notification system has not been revealed. However, there exists a very popular iOS Notification concept online – Bidirectional Slider Notification design, showed in the picture bellow. Sliding the block left would result in iOS dismissing the currently displayed message to display the second in line, while a simple slide to the right would open up the necessary applications to let users review the notifications.
As far as widgets go, CultofMac suggests that the new widget system could look something like the concept designed by graphic designer Jan-Michael Cart, who made a mock-up of a widget system that would make iOS more like OS X and its Dashboard feature, with widgets on pages to the left of the home screen and applications to the right, as they are currently.
It is also reported that Apple would launch the Mac OS X Lion on the WWDC together with the Apple iOS 5 to get more attractions from users.

Apple updates iOS 4.3.2, Safari 5.0.5 and Xcode 4.0.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Posted on April 14th, 2011 No commentsThe latest news for all Apple users: Apple has released iOS 4.3.2 for various models of iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, especially to fix security issues and FaceTime calling with random images issues. Meanwhile, Apple also updated the Safari 5.0.5 and Xcode 4.0.2 for all Mac developers.
From the above picture we could know the main improvements and bug fixes. The update mainly includes content as below:
· Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call
· Fixes an issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G
· The latest security updates, including: Certificate Trust Policy, libxslt, QuickLook, WebKit, etc.
This update is compatible with most Apple products, including: iPhone 4 (GSM model), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (3rd generation). Apparently, iPhone 3G is not included in this iOS 4.3.2 update.
Also on Thursday, Apple released the updated Safari 5.0.5 for all Mac and Windows users. The new version in fact adds nothing, but enhances security of its previous version with two security holes patched to allow unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
Aside the iOS 4.3.2 and Safari 5.0.5, Apple also released the Xcode 4.0.2 for all Mac developers. This update software is also available on Mac App Store. What’s more, the Security Update 2010-2011 for Snow Leopard, Leopard Client, and Leopard Server are also released for users.

Apple Releases iOS 4.3.2 Next Week to Fix Verizon iPad Connectivity, Face Time and More
Posted on April 12th, 2011 No commentsAccording to a report from BGR (Boy Genius Report), Apple will release the updated iOS 4.3.2 to fix bugs and address security issues on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch next week, especially for the new iPad 2 3G connectivity with Verizon.

“It’s said to include a few enhancements, address security issues, and it will also fix several bugs that have affected users. We’re told to expect the software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in about two weeks.”
It has been less than three weeks since the official release of iOS 4.3.1 from Apple. And now, the new updated iOS 4.3.2 is reportedly right on the corner to fix problems in iOS 4.3.1 software. Shortly after the release of iOS 4.3.1, the Dev Team has come up with an iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak. And now, Dev Team is facing an even greater challenge to work out an unlocked iOS 4.3.2.
As known to all, the Verizon iPad 2 was having some problems with connecting to the 3G network. Apple confirmed the problem and characterized the number as “small”, but only said they were investigating it and offered no further information. If the BGR informant is right, this new update will fix the connectivity problems faced by the Verizon iPad, which will make many users happy. And also, if the iOS 4.3.2 is going to release next week, then the Face Time glitch might be a another focus to fix in this OS. Some unsnapped pictures may appear when users try to make a FaceTime call with iPhone 4. This has led dissatisfaction of users. Apple may get solutions for the two main problems in the new OS.
Also, it is said that some security holes are to be solved in this updated iOS 4.3.2 to enhance user experience, as well as fixing some bugs of the previous iOS 4.3.1.

Apple Delayed the Release of iOS 5 to September, iPhone 5 Probably Adopts iOS 4

According to the report from TechCrunch, Apple has decided to delay the release of iOS 5 until this fall. Usually, main updates of Apple iOS would be mentioned by Apple every February or March and then unveiled in June together with next generation of iPhone, and released after that or along with the release of new iPhone. But it seems a little bit different this year, showed by this report, that Apple would officially unveil the next update of iOS until this September.
It is also indicated in the news that in Apple’s WWDC this summer, users would be able to glimpse the new iOS 5, which is said to be totally different from previous iOS generations. Cloud technologies are widely used in this new iOS 5. And besides the rumored application of Apple music store, other apps like Media Stream, Find My Friends would also be supported. For people who want to take a glimpse of iPad 3 in this Apple’s WWDC this summer, the possibility seems to be really poor.
From this news, it is most possible that the next generation of iPhone – iPhone 5 would adopt iOS 4. As the A5 processor has been accepted by iOS 4.x by iPad 2, and in iOS 4.3 SDK, the Media Stream and Find My Friends are also proved to be acceptable, plus the upcoming MobileMe in April, all these have proved that the iOS 4 could walk more distant.
