Problem: I downloaded a HD video from Vimeo. When I added the HD video into my PowerPoint 2010 presentation (beta), it failed. How to fix the issue?
Shirley W. SmithSolution:
Hi, Shirley! You can’t put a HD video directly into PowerPoint, neither the 2010 version or earlier. Coz HD videos are not in a compatible format with PowerPoint. Before the insertion, you need to do a conversion – convert the HD video to another format that is supported by PowerPoint 2010. Tools like Leawo HD Video Converter can help.Learn something about HD video and the PowerPoint-compatible formats first? Read on.
1. What is HD Video?
HD video is short for High-definition video. It refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, usu. with display resolutions of 1280×720 pixels (720p) or 1920×1080 pixels (1080i/1080p). HD video sometimes occupies the whole screen and accounts for too much of the file size so that it needs to be compressed down to a reasonable size for reuse.
File Formats of HD videos:
MTS/M2TS – developed by Sony and Panasonic, but now we see less of it
MOD/TOD – shared by JVC, Panasonic and Canon camcordersMTS, M2TS, MOD and TOD are tapeless file formats recorded by HD camcorders on hard disk, SD flash card or DVD disc. They are not supported file formats of PowerPoint.
So which video file formats can be inserted into PowerPoint 2010?
