Top Menu Introduction
Once you launch the Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac, you will notice 5 program menus on top-left corner of your Mac – Leawo DVD Ripper, File, Edit, 3D, and Help.
1. Top Menu – Leawo DVD Ripper
In this menu, you can click About Leawo DVD Ripper (Unregistered) option to get the current version information of Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac; and click Preferences option to do program settings including DVD, Convert, Thumbnail, Connection and Update Settings.
Please follow below introductions to know how to do program settings in detail.
Under Preferences>DVD menu, you can set desired DVD loading mode from Common mode or Special mode; choose to check Don’t show mode selection while loading DVD or not; and set Minimum title length.
Under Preferences>Convert menu, you can choose what to do if Output File Exist already. There are three options for freely selecting: Rename, Overwrite and Skip. Then, you can set Output directory; choose to check Enable Deinterlacing and Enable Streaming MP4 Video options or not.
Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac supports to take snapshots out of favorite movie scenes during source files preview. The program even provides some settings related to snapshots under Preferences> Thumbnail menu. You can choose desired Image Format (PNG, BMP or JPG) for snapshot saving; set desired Image Size as Original or Custom image size by adjusting image Width and Height; set saving folder for output snapshots under Save to option; and choose to Display image after thumbnail or not.
Under Preferences>Connection menu, you can check Use Proxy option and then do some proxy settings, including Host, Port, Proxy Type, Username, and Password.
Under Preferences>Update Settings menu, you can check Enable automatic update check option, then set the automatic update check frequency at your will. If you uncheck the Enable automatic update check option, you will never receive the program updates automatically.
2. Top Menu – File
In this menu, you can click Load DVD button to load DVD source from DVD disc or file folder.
3. Top Menu – Edit
In this menu, you can Rename selected DVD title; Delete selected DVD title; Clear all imported DVD sources; enter into video editing menu via clicking Media Edit option; open the advanced output profile settings menu via clicking Profile option; and get detailed Media Information.
4. Top Menu – 3D
If you want to convert 2D DVD to 3D movie, you can head to this menu and choose desired 3D effects out of ed/Cyan, Red/Green, Red/Blue, Blue/Yellow, Interleaved, and Side by Side. You can freely Turn off 3D effect and click 3D Settings option to enter into the 3D settings menu. You can hide the 3D button on program main interface via clicking Hide 3D Module option.
5. Top Menu – Help
In this menu, you can click Help option to visit Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac user guide page on Leawo.com; click Home Page option to visit Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac product page; click Support option to visit Leawo’s support center; click Check for updates option to find the latest version of Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac; click Bug Reporter option to send bugs of Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac to Leawo.
1. Load DVD Source
Simply click button on program left panel to load DVD source from DVD disc or folder. You can directly drag and drop all DVD sources to program for processing.
When loading the DVD content, you are asked to choose desired DVD loading mode out of Common mode and Special mode. You can try different loading modes while the program fails to load the DVD content.
After the DVD loading mode selection, you are asked to load DVD content in Movie Mode or Episode Mode. The Movie Mode will automatically select the longest episode of you DVD to be loaded. The Episode Mode will enable you to choose desired episodes to be loaded.
You are also allowed to preview DVD source files on program right panel. And during the preview, you can click to play and preview selected DVD title; click to pause the preview; click to play the previous title; click to backward for 5s; click to forward for 5s; click to play the next title; and drag the slider bar on to adjust video playback volume.
Taking snapshots out of favorite movie scene is also available while you preview the source files.
After opening the drop-down box of , you can check Snapshot to take snapshots; check Open Snapshot Folder to locate all snapped screenshots; check Change Snapshot Folder to set output directory for snapped screenshots. The snapshot format and size can be set in Leawo DVD Ripper menu>Preferences>Thumbnail.
You can click button on program right preview panel to enter into the video editing menu.
Once you right click a selected DVD title, you can do settings including Load BD, Media Edit, Move to top, Move to bottom, Delete, Clear, Media information, and Bug Reporter.
2. Set Output Profile
The button at the end of each DVD title will lead you to the output profile selecting menu. You can select your needed output format from there.
You can click button to enter into Profile Customise menu, then check desired profile groups to appear on the left side bar of profile selecting menu; click button to enter the advanced profile settings menu; use the profile searching bar to get needed profile quickly; and check box to apply settings to all source files.

3. Edit Sources Files (Optional)
There are three ways available for you to enter into the video editing window: click button on the preview panel, or right click selected DVD title to select Media Edit option, or select one DVD title then head to Edit menu and choose Media Edit option. Leawo DVD Ripper for Mac provides 5 types of user-friendly video editing features for you: Trim video length, Crop video size, Rotate video viewing angle, Adjust video effect and Add watermark.

4. Convert 2D DVD to 3D (Optional)
You can click button at the end of each DVD title, or enter the 3D menu to choose desired 3D effect out of Red/Cyan, Red/Green, Red/Blue, Blue/Yellow, Interleaved, and Side by Side. You can also enter into the 3D settings menu via clicking 3D Settings option.

5. Convert DVD
Lastly, click button at the bottom right to start to convert DVD to digital media files. During the conversion, you can click button to pause the conversion; click to resume the conversion; click button to skip the conversion task; click button to cancel the while conversion. You can do After Conversion settings as well – Do Nothing, Shut Down Computer or Open Output Folder.
