It depends on your viewing perspective; however, the default settings of each profile have been optimized to meet most common needs, therefore they are recommended to use.

5. Can I convert LD videos to HD format to get a better visual quality?
No, you can't upgrade the visual quality by low definition video to high definition format, because of GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out). If the video is damaged to low quality it is irreversible. If you lose the original video, you won't be able to rebuild it with a converted one. However, such conversion can be applicable when the display device has trouble stretching the video image to full screen.

6. How to convert HD video to playback on my personal devices?
