audio very fast when converting some dvd

I am converting my dvd collection to avi. I've done about 20. 15 have no problem the others have no video problems but the audio is extremely fast. It sounds like alvin and the chipmunks if you know who they are. The dvd that have the problem King Kong, Mighty Joe Young, Blazing Saddles

Just wondering if you ever found anything out on this as "Jeremy Johnson" did the same thing to me.
