The news of the combination of the two companies – Google and Motorola Mobility Holdings has been confirmed. Google acquired Motorola Mobility Holdings on Monday for a total $12.5 billion, $40.00 per share in cash. Motorola Mobility will remain a licensee of Android and Android will remain open.
