Inside Blu-ray to video conversion (Part 4): 2 ways to remove Blu-ray movie region code

Region code is a measure to divide the disc media movie market in order to allow for different contents, prices and features in different countries. It restricts Blu-ray movies to the playback on Blu-ray players with the same region code only. For example, you can’t play America-released (Region A) Blu-ray movies on Europe-made (Region B) Blu-ray players. If you are to play Blu-ray movies on PC, you will find the same restriction in Blu-ray playback software like PowerDVD. Therefore, we introduce two ways to remove Blu-ray movie region code restriction to solve the trouble.

The first way, use AnyDVD HD to kill region code and rip Blu-ray movie to hard disk.

AnyDVD HD is a leading Blu-ray decryption tool. If you would like to rip Blu-ray movie to your hard disk without the bother of region code, just check "Remove Blu-ray Region Code" and it will remove the code when you copy the Blu-ray movie.

The second way, use Leawo Blu-ray Ripper to convert Blu-ray disc movie to code-free format.

Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is so far the only competent software to match with AnyDVD, with decryption support to AACS V17 discs. There is no visible setting for removing Blu-ray region code, but the code is removed during the Blu-ray to video conversion. Simply select an output profile, say MP4, and convert. The region code is gone in the MP4 video file.
